I work for a public educational institution and the budget is not just dismal, it's abysmal. There will be cuts. There were cuts last year, but they were cuts from all year round to taking summers off, which is a salary cut that was hard enough for those who received it. This year - they will be cutting entire jobs, a.k.a., people. Plus limiting some people to not working during the summer. To say it is tense around here - and it's only March - is putting it very lightly. The new fiscal year starts July 1, so everyone who will be affected by budget cuts will know sometime in June. Meanwhile, the administrators are meeting now to figure out who, what and where.....
Time to apply that faith I talk so much about.

The local school systems in our area are looking at deep cuts and our state is not in as much trouble as others.
They are also expecting things to get much worse with the state budget before it starts to get better. Even the major universities have been affected.
