Not Politics As Usual

I notice that the Republicans are ramping up their promises to do things differently than the Democrats have done in the past year or so.

I'm SO over politics as usual.  I'm appalled at the so-called Democrats, who are Socialists and who are, it appears, actively trying to change the very nature of what the United States is, regardless of what the founding documents say.

But I'm not turning to the Republicans as the option or the solution.  By no means.  They are both 2 sides of the same coin.  And the coin is bad.

I'm looking for real change - for average citizens to stand up and run for office. In some cases, unknowns are coming on the scene and winning attention and enthusiasm.

I will not be voting Republican OR Democrat when it's time to vote again.  I will be voting for non-political candidates, if any exist.  I refuse to vote any longer for the "lesser of two evils".  No more.

Just saying.  Anyone else on the same page?

I am SO on the same page. My only fear is that so many people will feel the same that the Dems will maintain power. Hopefully, the country's fed-up-ivity will continue and real change will come.

I was watching your photo slide show and thought, 'these look familiar'. I was looking at them from your hubby's site the other day... had no idea he was he. 8-] LOVE the spoonbills in flight!

Have a JESUS-filled day! ^i^

Hey thar' Suze!

Thanky fer yore Front Porch visit.

I is 100% on yore page about politics as usual. Fergit it.

This is what happens: the republicans git in, they decide to be "bi-partisan" an' we all move "center" then the Dems git in an refuse to be "bi-partisan" an they move more to the left, then the Republicans git in again an' work to be "bi-partisan" to the new more left leanin' "standard" the dems set...an' the whole culture tilts off more left than ever in terms of POLICY, while the folks at home grow more 'n more disgusted.

I say vote out every incumbent--send a message that we doan want no career politicians. How much worse could a passel of well meanin' beginners be? not much worse, but it might stand a few professional pollys on they haids.

An mah other pet idea? Strengthen yore own state. Git tough at the state level-send good folks to yore state capital--an thenm let the states stand up to the feds.

I is an unapologetic Stat's Rights advocate.

An'....I love yore bird photos!

I'm with you on States Rights. It's always been a fascinating part of the study of the Civil War. Although I can never understand slavery, or the mentality that could keep slaves - I can understand the mentality that desires states rights over federal.
